Karen is a little more quiet-spoken than her blunt, vocal twin. She prefers to teach by gentle instruction rather than sharp command. She is often the voice of reason when Anna gets into arguments with Kassie or Andi or - Gods forbid - Kuro. Nothing can stop that train wreck.
Karen is her sister advisor's gentler half, the loving, soft hand that guides both the girls and her own sister toward their goals. She always has a ready smile for the warriors that the two girls teach, and is usually the first to stop everything to explain something if a question comes up.
This doesn't mean, however, that she has entirely given up the idea of having her own life here on Earth. As with Anna, the idea of having her own identity here on this new world has given her a sense of self that has helped define who she is as a person and as a Sailorsenshi. No longer is she simply a nameless advisor, but now someone who fights alongside her students. Together with Anna, she's developed her own special breed of attack, and can be absolutely deadly when something threatens what she cares about. And together with her sister, she is as lethal as a knife to the heart and just as frightening.
Together with their Sailor charges, Anna and Karen create an unstoppable force for good on Earth, one that will not be beaten, defeated, or frightened away. This world will never be the same.

Twin sisters of twin moons stood on the plain overlooking the capital city on the world of Mendhai. The moon's orbit brought it so close that sometimes Sailoretherios wondered if she could reach out and touch it. "Did we fail them?" she asked, the heartbreak clear in her eyes. With the fall of each of her girls, the dark-skinned advisor Senshi had felt a little of herself die.
Her sister, ambassador and avatar of Mendhai's second moon, Sailorluminatia, shook her head. "No, Xian. We didn't...we did everything we could have done to prepare them. What they've done...has been their choice. Based on what they've learned."
"But...Chiei...they're all DEAD. How can we not be responsible?"
'Your sister is right, Sailoretherios. The both of you have fulfilled your duties. Your charges made the decisions they could based on what you taught them...and they are not dead, but only sleep.' The voice had come from the heavens, and both Senshi dropped to one knee, knowing they were speaking with none other than the father-God, Irrin. 'And you must sleep as well, for your charges will need your aid when they awaken on their new world.'
"New world?" Sailorluminatia echoed, dazed. "What do you mean, Most Holy?"
There was a smile in Irrin's gentle voice when he replied. 'My children have pled most eloquently for their warriors to rise again...and with the help of our Lady Fate, I have complied with their plea. A world far from our own star...a world where Chikatte can gain the most power...that is where I have sent them. And you both must go as well, to give guidance and love again, as you have done in countless lives. Sleep, my daughters...one day you'll understand.'
Both Senshi fell to the ground, their souls in stasis for the time it would take to send them to Earth's future...to their future...
Where Sailorsenshi would need teaching, and people would need protecting.
To teach...
To hope...
To Earth.

"Anna. Wake up."
Anna Kain mumbled sleepily and turned over onto her stomach, batting at her sister's hands. She stopped when her fingers closed around Karen's wrist and realized the girl was trembling. Anna promptly sat up, all traces of sleep gone from her face. "What, Karen? What is it?"
Karen sat down. Her chocolate-colored skin was pale, and her unnatural, white-blue eyes were wide and fearful. "I just had the most horrible dream," she said.
Her twin frowned. "What was it about?"
"It was so strange...there were these people...a-another world..." Karen rubbed one hand over her face, trying to remember. Anna noticed then that she'd suffered from a cold sweat during her dream. "Such pain...people were dying all over. And...I felt...guilty? Like I should have been able to stop it?"
Anna frowned. "You gonna be okay?" She didn't like seeing her sister like this. Karen was strong, she didn't usually break down like that.
Karen nodded. "I will, Anna. It was just..." she looked up. "Everything felt so familiar. Like I knew who all those people...soldiers...who they were. Like it was on the tip of my tongue. I could swear I almost knew their names. Like you did too."
Anna blinked. "Groovy," she murmured. She tilted her head to one side, seeing the anguished look still on Karen's face, and sighed. "Come here," she said, and pulled her twin sister in for a tight embrace. The girl curled up at Anna's side, arms slipping around her waist. "It'll be okay. You can stay in here with me tonight if you'd like."
Karen sat up, making a face at her. "What am I, three?" She snorted. "Get a grip. Like I'm going to sleep with my suddenly lesbo sister."
"Ah, shaddup," Anna growled, thumping Karen with her pillow. "Leave it to the bonehead to take a nice gesture and perv it up."
Karen laughed, and threw her sister in a headlock, delivering a sound, humiliating noogie to the top of Anna's head.
Anna flailed, squealing loudly. "Karen! Get off!"
Karen let go, laughing, and stood. "I feel better...thanks, Anna. Goodnight."
The long-haired girl had been asleep for fifteen minutes when Anna burst back in, a harried look on her face. "Karen. I know what it meant. Get dressed and pack. We have to go to Tokyo."

Sunshadow Strike! :: This power is, as with the "Moonshadow Strike", less a specific attack and more of a power boost to any shot she takes at the enemy consecutively after casting this power. Very intense power, non-standard level Senshi attack. Starglow Desire :: This is sort of a counterpoint to Etherios' "Nightwind Terror". Instead of surrounding the enemy in darkness and showing them their worst fear, this power surrounds them with light - which, if they are one of Chikatte's demons, is painful and blinding - and shows them their deepest desire, immobilizing said enemy and sending them into a sort of trance. While the enemy is in this trance, the Senshi can extract information simply by asking questions. This attack is a form of mind control or hypnosis. Standard-level Senshi attack. As such, the current Sailorluminatia is named Chiei, a Mendhaian word that means "unseen". The purpose of the Advisor Senshi's existance is to teach and guide the protector Senshi through their training and awakening to power, while remaining unseen and taking no credit for the work involved. In fact, the job itself is known to exist only by very few people. The one small settlement on the moon of Lumini, like the one on the Etheri moon, is dedicated to keeping this Advisor Senshi a secret from the rest of the worlds. [top] Appendix B - Lumini :: Lumini is the farther of the two moons that circle the planet of Mendhai. Lumini, like Etheri, claims one settlement, a colony dedicated since the first Mendhaian princess a million years ago, to the keeping secret of one of two advisors for the system's Sailor Senshi, one Sailorluminatia, to guide, protect, and teach the young women until they come of age and are given into their full power. At which point, the Advisor ceases to exist in the eyes of the living, becoming a shadow to guide and watch over the Senshi and lend aid in time of crisis. [top] Appendix C - Sailorluminatia :: The word "Luminatia" means, simply, "of Lumini", or "belonging to Lumini". This name was chosen to strip any further identity from the Advisor Senshi. This may seem cruel until one considers that the Advisor Senshi, in order to maintain their roles of protection until the Protector Senshi come into their power, must therefore be given an enormous amount of power to watch over these girls. Hence, each senshi is given one realm; Sailoretherios, the powers of Night, Sailorluminatia, the powers of Day. [top] Appendix D - Tiraniche, "Day-Blade" :: Tiraniche [pronounced "tih-rah-nee-shay"], the blade wielded by Sailorluminatia, is the weapon given to each Advisor Senshi from the moon Lumini. The word translates to "Day-blade", and the blade is a channel, a sort of amplifier for Sailorluminatia's powers. Technically, the Advisor Senshi have no specific, worded attacks. This current Sailorluminatia, however, carries a bit of a rebellious streak, and has managed to somehow avoid the edict from both the Gods and the Mendhaian crown, and has formed the ability to perform specific attacks with the aid of the Tiraniche, something never before heard of among all the legends and histories kept on the moon of Lumini.
